What is the Best Gaming Franchise of the Last Generation?

Last generation saw the introduction of alot of new franchises and the continuation of others. What franchise held it down in terms of consistency, fun factor and overall quality? The franchise must have a minimum of two games released in that generation.(HD remakes and collections don't count.)

Mario Galaxy. Both titles are classics. Each other franchise had at least one title in them that were generally considered weak e.g. Mass effect 3, Uncharted 3, arkham origins etc.

Lowkey Resistance series was dope also. Not one great game but three solid games. COD gets alot of hate but CoD2, WaW, MW1&2 and Black Ops were all great to solid games.

And folks may wanna hate on it, but Assassins Creed was obviously the most successful new series. And while it got off to a rocky start, it improved quite a bit per each iteration.

Like I said, dudes was gonna hate and it's popular now to hate on CoD but you gonna sit here with a straight face and call CoD 2, World at War, Modern Warfare 1 & 2 and Black Ops bad or even average games? Despite what it has become now you can't deny CoD came and crushed the FPS buildings this gen. To deny this is just being an outright hater.

nba 2k series?

NB2k dropped arguably the best SPORTS sim of ALL-TIME this gen and pretty much put the Live series in it's grave. They've been consistently good to great this gen. How many bad games did this series produce this gen.....go ahead I'll wait.......

Elder Scrolls, is a great choice. I'm kinda luke warm on Halo. Halo 3 was great, Reach was ok to me and I just started 4 so I can't comment on it yet.

I tried to get into Assassin's Creed (played and never finished 1 & 2) but I just could not get into it. I guess this is one of those you either love it or hate it games.

Mass Effect clearly deserves every vote, even with 3's ending, the entire trilogy is amazing and the journeys in each game are excellent.
