What is the biggest financial mistake you made in your twenties?

Being to generous with my first gf after graduating college, I spent way too much money on her and it drained my savings and had my credit cards go from zero balances to about 3,000 a piece. It's taken me 6 yrs to recover and I'm still not there. Being 30 with only 7,000 in savings pisses me off when I know I should have closer to 20,000. Good thing is I've never been late on a payment and my score is a 781
