What is the biggest financial mistake you made in your twenties?

Shoulda gone into college with a better plan. Got a degree now I'm a junior software engineer with a comfortable salary (75k). I got debt I am saving though so those loan payments don't sting much. Living downtown so I don't own a car, that helps a ton. Finna be 25 I don't feel like I'm doin too shabby

Coming back from deployment at 18 and buying my brother a car and giving my mom 4 grand I never saw any of that money my brother ended up trading the car to a nikka for a shyttier car saying he "didn't like it anymore" lessons learned

You are just uninformed I got 70 units transferring over and I think I only need 120 for a BA, you have to make sure you are taking transferable classes, nothing remedial will transfer over usually and not at least a 100 class like math 101 will transfer but something like math 70 wont.

Point is, it's not near impossible, as you said. For example, A school like UCLA, the most applied to school in the US, admitted 5,188 transfer students fall 2015, space is always opening up at these schools, plenty of people are transferring yearly you shouldn't discourage your coli bros on things like this.

Just to do an update, I'm taking classes at UCLA, and they took the 105 of my units, which is the max you can transfer with.
This shyt is hard as hell tho, and it's only week two

I like to think it's a product of our generation taking non-serious shyt seriously and not giving a fukk about shyt that really matters.

Brought friends along to so many concerts and nba games because they were broke and thought they would appreciate it. Spent at least 10k (consider their half 5k wasted). As I busted my ass to a better place, they still broke and talk shyt about me to make me seem like an a$$hole while I know it's cuz they hate that they stuck in the same place in life.

At least I enjoyed the concerts / nba games and learned the lesson early in life (24 right now).

Had an opportunity to buy some land with a dude out in fort worth... I think it was something like 10 or 15k...and i had the cash for it...

Instead...I was holding that cash because a chick a friend of mine dated worked at Rent A Center...or maybe Enterprise...and she could get me a same year model CTS for around that much...because after so many miles the company just took the cars to a junkyard and crushed them...something really low for miles like 2k or something...

So they broke up...she never talked to me again...and I never got the car...

Dude went in on the land with someone else...they built a strip mall on it...had to give both of them money to build on it...

So dude makes a couple 100 a month just for owning the land...and he will as long as the strip mall stays out there...and the strip mall will be out there forever...

I ended up with no land and no car...i was heavy into drugs then so i am pretty sure i snorted the money up my nose and popped pills with it...
