Obviously having jamaican parents, i had no choice but to come across bob marley. 
i heard his music on my moms dub tapes from the radio without even knowing who he was as a kid growing up amongst other artist i would learn about. Honestly, his music was just some common shyt that i had no clue how popular it was outside of what I knew. At one point, i thought he was overrated like when i was in high school but thats because i was kind of tired of hearing all dancehall shyt since i heard it all the time growing up. But bob marley and the wailers are dope.
However his best songs are the og versions of the remakes that i guess is popular like livin up yourself. This version shyts all over the other one
