Netflix trying to make money breh.. If monique couldn't draw a white audience, Netflix wasn't gonna splurge..

And the one with an Oscar has done nothing of note since winning it.
If that's all they needed, wouldn't Monique be selling out arenas then?
Bunch of cats get talked about in movie trailers as "Oscar Winner X" doesn't mean they're getting paid top dollar to be in that shyt.
Adrien Brody, Jennifer Connelly, and Chris Cooper ain't getting top dollar for movies.
The show they used for Amy's special was part of her world wide tour where she was selling out arenas. She was the first woman comic to sell out MSG. In the 2-3 years before the Netflix special she had a popular show on Comedy Central, a best selling book, starred in a movie that made $150M, she was everywhere. She's trash, but she was popular as fukk. That's why she got paid.

Katt Williams already said that Netflix doesn't give a fukk about whose funny or not, they care about money. The comedienne that's popular as fukk in various forms of media that has a recent worldwide tour that sold out arenas is going to get much more money than someone doing small ass shows.
Even if a bunch of people watched Schumer to hate watch and talk shyt about, that's a W for Netflix.
I posted in another thread about this, Wanda Sykes wasn't happy with her Netflix offer, went somewhere else, worked on her shyt, made moves as a writer/actor on other shows and got a better offer from Netflix that she was happy with and took. She said the shyt wasn't personal, it was business.

Last year when she was touring and came to the Houston Improv. I go to comedy shows n $hit regularly tho...

Nah, not at a professional level.Go to a day party...have a drink...there’s other ways to “make a living” w/ football outside the NFL. They’re not as high profile or as lucrative. Go experience life before it’s too late lil bro.

promote it herself on IG, radio/blogs (Breakfast club) etc.
She has enough clout and money to do it on her own. If there truly is a demand for her content, she could sell her special to Hulu, Amazon, Apple, Starz, etc.

I do wish the nfl had legit competition. He’ll I remember back in the late 90s when wcw and wwf would go at it. The competition brought out the best for the fans.
