you thought jla/avengers was ass?

6/10, 6.5/10

First of all, maybe I'm just not a fan of Busiek's writing and stylings but I thought there was a HUGE drop off in quality in #3&4. Also, the multiverse is crumbling and the JLA and Avengers are waging this epic battle while Cap and Batman riding through space in one of these: http://www.brooksmotorworks.com/images/sidecars/R90S-BMW-motorcycle-conversion-with-Steib-TR500.jpg :comeon:

Also,
the main reason we as comic fans like crossovers like that are the fights and we ain't really get any of the fights long time fans WANTED to see outside of Superman vs. Thor (I'm a Marvel fan, I'm mad we didn't get to actually see Cap give the beats to Batman, just had it heavily implied).

I felt the whole storyline was corny but stuck with it because hey, it was a monumental event. Infinite Crisis. Kingdom Come, AoA, Fatal Attractions >>>> JLA/Avengers

And House of M was underwhelming, it was more of an X-men story marketed as a Marvel story. I hated it at first but overtime gained a level of respect for it because it did have universe sweeping consequences that weren't really resolved til AvX and Uncanny Avengers

:ehh:

well there were not really any fights between 3 & 4 because in true comic book fashion the heroes were teaming up and facing the bigger threat. And I thought the fights were good considering the rosters they had at the time. (JLA would have kicked ass). I liked House of M because it finally brought the x-men world and the marvel heores world under one umbrella (sucks they had to get rid of all the mutants). AoA had some cool ideas but no lasting consequences outside of x-man and few villains that pop up here and there.

that spiderman 294 might be worth something.

Dude dont remind me... Trust me I figured that

When i was a kid I was given two crates full of comics by some dude in my hood who was gettin kicked out of his girls apt. While packing his car he was like "Ay lil nikka you want these shyts?" all pissed off. I was like hell yea!... Few years later I gave them away to a younger kid the same way bcuz I thought I was "too grown" to have comic books in my room.........stupid:snoop:

I still kick myself about it today. I remember the cover art to some of em
These were in that crate too...

...valuable CLASSIC issues:to:

........feel free to slap the shyt outta me for :camby:them shyts

naw you didn't know plus i kind of understand because you have to wait a long time for comics to become valuable.

The only real valuable comic in my collection is a What If of spidergirl

I voted Dark Phoenix Saga.

Secret Wars if that counts though since it had the main X-Men. Probably my favorite Marvel arc. Dark Phoenix Saga not too far behind.

I loved it I just wish alot of the changes stuck though (everyone knows who spiderman is could have changed comics)

Yeah, I remember thinking ":rudy: how long before everybody gets mindwiped?" when Spidey revealed his identity to the world. It was a good idea but I knew the writers wouldn't have the balls to make that permanent.
