i was disappointed with the direction 50 took on the Massacre...album isnt that bad though. Lots of really good heat.

I've never heard someone ride so hard for this album . Even hardcore east coast nikkas who loved that mafioso rap said it was wack. Hell even Dre and AZ said the shyt was a failure. It was like they were trying to recreate affirmative action over and over again and fell short. And Nature fukking sucks. Nowhere near the same as Cormega.

lol Marley couldn't even name them, probably wouldn't recognize 'em if that asked him for a quarter. I believe he said Cold Chillin' made some funny style moves with that album (on the Juan Epstein podcast), but who knows. A lot of people have accused Marley of being dishonest in the past. Either way, SMH at pissing away your brand like that. Marley was picking nothing but winners up until that point. I mean "Marley Marl - In Control"... damn that shyt just sounded fly. I still bump "Cheatin Days are Over" though, that's a funny ass song.

Marley was supposed to Nas 2nd album, but he fukked that up too. He leaked "On The Real" (plus added some features) & another joint they did. And that was that.

Actually when you compare the covers of the "In Control I" & "In Control II", it supports the idea that Cold Chillin' was moving funny. The OG was extra fresh, the 2nd one is a cheesy photoshop (or whatever they did at the time).
