The two that come to my mind are Late Registration and Doctor's Advocate.

I went to the record store at 11am to get both albums when I was in college and was just like "I waited all summer for this." People widely consider Late Registration as Kanye best album, but for me it was the end of the music I enjoyed, the soulful samples and fun old school cypher Cosby raps he put out. It was more or less, a conceptual album that had more filler and the featured artist selection was disappointing ie. Lupe's verse was dull to me, Cam's song too late in the album, Paul Wall the best verse of the album....

The Game, I really expected something special after dropping that You Know What It Is Vol.3 w/ 300 Bars and then well, I got an average as album and just stopped listening to him ever since

i cant even call nastradamus a dissappointment.

before it even dropped officially, my homebwoy told me not to buy it, forced his copy on me, and told me to just dub it.

saved me $15 bucks.

Carter 3, even after knowing how wack it was i listened to it over and over trying to find what I was missing. probably the most over hyped album ever.

Truthfully, the Nastradamus song was corny (that fukking hook :what:) but I gave it a pass because it had the same sample as EPMD's Let The Funk Flow

But I heard the sole Primo track and thought he redeemed himself

:blessed:

Then I bought it and listened to the rest.....:why::beli::trash:

yea, i usually dont anticipate albums by older rappers, even if they were coming off a good run with their previous album like bone thugs did.

but this was the 5-man reunion. with bizzy back and flesh finally out of prison. theyre 2 best lyricists were back in the group, and the other 3 had just dropped a dope album without them.

whats really frustrating about this chit is that the album was wack for absolutely no reason. the chit is mind-boggling. cuz on some technically-skilled type chit, this is up there with their best stuff. even wish was consistently getting off. but the album was just horrible. the concepts, the beats, the songs. that chit was just str8 up corn.

i couldnt even believe some of the chit i was hearing on there.:mindblown:.

then i went on youtubes and say u-neek playing a bunch of stuff that got snubbed from the album and im like:

:what::dahell: were they thinking with the tracklist?

they blamed it on the label for picking the wrong tracks, but im like why did yall even record them chits?

Not disappointing since I knew it was gonna be garbage..this was the first album I ever bought, listened to it once, was so disgusted that I threw it out of the car window on the highway, thus creating the "highway frisbee" or "highway debris" label for these shytty ass albums
