PS2 easily. that was the one system everyone had. growing up i'd go to my friends' houses with my controller and games. never asked what system they had. it was already known the PS2 was there.

plus the wide range of games, especially rpgs. xbox at the time was more for shooters i think.

well it is the best selling console

"best selling" and "most important" are two different things breh. best selling is pretty much the "most popular". If it wasn't for the NES, the PS2 wouldn't have had the chance to even be the best selling.

TBH the PS1 had more of an impact on the video game industry than the PS2. One could argue that the game boy series had more of an impact than the PS2 as well. It would take a strong argument but it's doable lol

another analogy:

The Jordan 11 is the most popular sneaker but the Jordan 1 is the most important. The 11 wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for the 1 really setting the standard and revolutionizing the industry

Nice try, but no. It was the NES that truly made the home video game system a household item and really made people take notice to video games. It's also what made it a billion dollar industry

The Magnavox and Ataris were like the Dr J converse of video games ...sure they existed before the Jordan 1, but the Jordan 1(NES) had the largest impact on the industry

Exactly what I'm doing...happy you saw straight through it :russ:....:francis:

So in your opinion what made the PS2 the most important?
I guess you havent noticed, but I never said what I thought was the most important. All I did was say why a lot of people think that.

I personally dont have an idea.

Ah...I see. Well that's a pretty simple thought process for a lot of people. They should dig a little deeper
