Reddit can be wonderful.
But the defaults are racists hellholes, look at any thread on Muslims, look at any thread involving black people. The huge number of racist "jokes" that are upvoted, there was a post last week that said black people shouldn't be able to vote, it had 700+ upvotes and gold before it was removed.
Then we have reddit's liberal use of the word fakkit and complete denial that gay people might not like it. This website can be horrible at times but outside of the default subs it's usually full of civil, knowledgeable discussion.
The last survey reddit did showed a 9:1 split of males to females, predominantly white, most subreddit surveys show a huge number of white males as well. That's not a problem but it sure skews opinions towards the whole "white men are the most oppressed group of people" that reddit loves.

at those dumb mother fukkers trying to claim that white men are oppressed. The fact that they can make racist jokes that get hundreds of upvotes before getting removed basically disproves that.
