Can't know everything n*gga :yeshrug:

i do speed regularly tho. Damn if i could live on regular i would save so much fukin money. Do i gotta look at the specific make of my engine?

If the engine is designed to work properly and efficiently on regular than regular is fine.
i think if you want to use premium, you are pushing the car to a potential it has but only going that way with your discretion.
but using regular still work for it.

i dont mind using regular. its a honda.
its resale value never falls and it #1 for selling higher than bought if taken care of properly.
and its always had regular since mile 1. i dont wanna switch it up at 7000 miles and get the engine confused for no reason but to spend more $$ on gas on a HONDA :comeon:.

I'm saying if your car isn't tuned for premium or the manufacturer isn't asking for it don't use it it's a waste of money.

wrong. Idgas about Kia and what their manual says. I know my baby and I can feel how she reacts when I out dat supreme chevron in her. and because of this, she has rewarded me by plowing through 4 ft of snow ridden roads, climbs steep hills on mountain terrain - I'm a cac and I go camping sometimes - and even beat out a Lamborghini, McLaren and Nissan skyline in a freeway race. I know what she wants, and I make sure shes never goes past half tank.

You never go past half tank??? :scust:

you need to clean out your tank sometimes and get a fresh fill up.

.

Myth #1: Increase in performance – If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard this. If your car feels underpowered, take it to a mechanic because it’s definitely not from using regular gas. The only time you might need premium gas is when you tow your 40-ft yacht with your Honda Civic across the west Texas dessert. Besides that, you’re in the clear.

Myth #2: Some engines require premium – Like I mentioned above, there was a time in a galaxy far, far away when premium was “recommended” by the owner’s manual. Now, it’s merely “suggested.” The reason for this is that all engines are built to work on regular gas without any consequences to the longevity of the engine. So why waste an extra 20 to 30 cents at the gas pump for no reason at all?

Myth #3: Reduction of knock and ping – Before the Spice Girls became international superstars (for those of you that don’t attribute any meaning to this reference, I’m talking about 1996) using premium gas did indeed reduce knock and ping. See, our parents weren’t always wrong. However, in this day and age engines are equipped with a knock sensor that automatically adjusts the fuel to prevent this.

So if you are using premium, why don’t you do a little experiment? Try regular gasoline for 4 to 5 months and see what the differences are. Most likely there will be none and you can save about $200 a year!
