These societies had some knowledge of each other's practices. America was a brand new country, it was probably assumed they went with the status quo, but the US went a whole other direction with slavery.
Regardless... slavery is still a cruel practice. And again, they had knowledge of what the Arabs were doing which was low key worse than the Europeans :mjpls:

gotta disagree

me and my little cousin, 12 years old at the time, went to a museum to learn about black history during covid.

when she saw the shyt that happened during slavery, she was hyperventilating.

they didn't teach her anything in school about slavery other than it happened and it was bad. then MLK and Obama made everything good again.

The ignorance we have to slavery is the biggest disgrace in the black community. I don't think a single black person would touch a white man or woman if they knew what their ancestors suffered at the hands of CACs.

This extraordinary lantern slide is inscribed: ‘An Arab master’s punishment for a slight offence. The log weighed 32 pounds, and the boy could only move by carrying it on his head. An actual photograph taken by one of our missionaries.’.

What you said is true

I'm not saying it to downplay wahg the europeans did. It's to highlight how the kingdoms that sold slaves were not ignorant of the horrors that slavery could entail

In the Arab slave trade, they would castrate black men to prevent them from being able to even form families, have kids, etc. Starve them.

Please don't think this is a defense of the europeans. It's not.

Yes Africans sold each other anyone trying to deny it or sugarcoat it, is misrepresenting history do people actually think European were so smart and powerful that they could capture millions of Africans and take them to the Americas? The slave trade was very economically advantageous for a lot of African tribes and nations. In fact the slave trade still happens today and just it’s more contained in North Africa and the Middle East but most slaves are still West or East African, which is historically how slavery played out even before Europeans became trade partners. The Afro-arab slave trade is still happening and people are making money off of it.

Africans have been willingly handing themselves L's for centuries :francis:

Ritual scarification is not “evil”.
:mjlol:

Ritual scarification was/is used as an ethnic/sub-ethnic identifier and to heal the sick.
Ppl like him are LOST, they don’t read nothing but the Bible :mjlol:

They’re allergic to academic historical and anthropological literature, because they tell us about our history being in Central and West Africa which includes such cultural information, instead of fairytales Massa imposed to keep nikkas docile.

Massa taught them to believe our indigenous African Ancestral culture is “evil and demonic” and they decided to believe Massa.

That’s why they avoid it like the regio like the plague and always go straight to Egypt, Ethiopia and Morocco when they praise “Africa”.

The moment Central and West Africa is mentioned where we’re ACTUALLY from, they turn into Massa in BlackFace and start talking about “evil and demonic” like the KOONS they are taught to be.

LOST NIKKAS :scust:

They still have the same mentality and there is no panafricanism today. Still engaging in the same behavior of selling each other out and relying on outsiders to do a lot of the critical work they should be doing.

:francis:
Arguably, this is the mentality that undermines self-determination and the ability of black people to work together toward their collective achievements and advancement.
