maybe because celebrities have a big enough platform to bring more awareness to certain situations.

Sometimes people get distracted by the messenger and completely miss the message.

These people won't spread awareness about the shyt happening in the black community but they want to use the black community to spread their message.

I hear you but the issue is needing celebrity validation to begin with... Then moaning when they don't

i wont go that far. i feel like we have a responsibilty to eachother. what i dont agree with is that the celebs that chick named didnt do anything. jay and bey went to a rally for trayvon. jay spoke on trayvon in great detail with elliot wilson. so how is that staying silent? jay met with the governor of NY in regards to eric garner. so the idea that he is sitting it out is BS.

he should do stuff to help poor black communities, and he is doing it. what pissed me off about that chick is she was grandstanding and being sanctimonious, which a lot of people who dont do anything love to do. she should put her stats up about what she does and lets see if its worthy. that dude at grantland, rembert browne, got sanctimonious on twitter around eric garner, trashing jay for being on holiday for his birthday while the marches were going down. come to find out, that same dude rembert wasnt at the marches himself, but in LA doing whatever. lot of frauds building careers off tragedies. all under the guise of "saving black people."

even with barneys, jay was given a role where he can oversee that no more racial profiling takes place, and they donated all the profits from his line to poor communities affected by that nonsense. those are facts, but activists never let facts get in the way of their ideological goals. they are anti-capitalist, and as along as jay getting money, they gonna discredit everything he do. even if he does good by way of a capitalist ideology.

Dapped, repped,

Why is our money good enough for this? It doesn't achieve anything but fukk this guy, I'm not supporting shyt.
Now if John Legend came out with this thing, I'd ssupport because he's not afraid use his platform for good.

I'm not an audiophile but my understanding is this offer higher quality streaming ? John Legend will probably sign up anyway

All of this was done without Jay-Z's help.

You "Where's Ja Rule" type people need to stop worshiping the opinion of celebrities:camby:

Anyway, $19.99? Nah I'm straight.

I don't worship anyone's opinion. But I call a coward a coward and I call a fool a fool

the price structure and possible contract is gonna be interesting. especially if they drop exclusive albums on this thing, its gonna do initial numbers, but a good model to predict based on this is the wwe network app. well, maybe not because theyve done a couple free promotions, but im thinking more because early adopters have always had the choice of coming and going when they didnt want the service. unless this service drops exclusive content like the wwe app does, its not setting itself apart from spotify or the other services including the looming beats deal. hifi is a cyse. sony had that SACD shyt back in the day but unless you had a sophisticated enough system to take advantage of it, they were little more than overpriced cds.

again, content & contract will determine if this thing is a farm or a fad.
