This thread reminds me I need to get back heavily into games.

I watched my best friend play the newest Dragon Age. I asked him a few questions and left him alone, because I'm not into RPGs like that.

And where do you men meet these women who require attention like newborns? As I get older I'm growing out of that shyt (and yes, this is me admitting that) and it's so much better when you have hobbies to occupy your time. These women need hobbies.

I raid, but my static fukking hates me because I told em off rip im never putting this game before real life shyt. Im gonna miss a raid tonight because I have one of my closest homies home from over seas....I'm not gon tell this nikka "Nah, we can't hang breh, I gotta drop this raid."

And gaming = life to some of the cats at conventions because a good 70% of the people at convention are either corporate or press. Its really not that many people who are just fans who are all up in PAX and E3 like that.

I see more men getting into shows/films that they girl watch, and yet i hardly ever see females willing to say "Ok lemme see what the fuss is about in this game". And then quit 10 mins in because its "too hard".

This junk had me dying. One time I went over to the folks house for Thanksgiving. Farmville was the thing. Everyone was in the kitchen talking and I noticed my Dad wasn't in there, so I go and I find him in his computer room and dude is on Farmville and he had a posted note with times on when he had to " plant or harvest crops" and I asked him him if he was serious? Plan and simple it takes attention from them or things they want you to focus on. Not only that its just looked at as negative, if gaming made money women would be walking around with there chest poked out claiming there favorite game man and teams.


I game competitively have since I 1st got into fighting games in 2000, travel and all that, and its very few females that can understand or accept that itch for the competitiveness of the game I have .

The sci fi channel was the only channel that my dad watched when he was home. I grew up watching that, Star Trek, Firefly, Buffy, Battlestar: Galactica, X-files, Twilight Zone. Movies like Blade Runner, The Fly, Species, Tremors, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, Gattica, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Monster Movies.

My grandparents also had a basement full of comic books.

Sci-Fi is popular. I just feel like it's got its own little community and fan base that makes it feel more intimate.

at that first part. You have immaculate taste in shows and movies.
I grew up collecting comic books (baseball cards etc) mostly marvel and some dc, so I am a marvel guy. Its kind of hard to Grow up and be a fan of the comics then as a adult, comic movies are made left and right now its "cool" to be in to those comic type movies but mo money mo problems.
I definitely agree with the last part, though if you had to choose between sci fi and fantasy. Which would you choose?
