I've made several thread here regarding my situation in life and how I want to turn it around.

I am 30 years old and will be 31 years old this October.

I live with my mother. She financially takes care of me. I am unemployed/broke and only have 30 dollars in my savings account. I spend all money I ever get from my mom on junk food because I am addicted to junk food. I am obese at 275 pounds. I am not in shape and have no stamina. I'm weak and can't lift that much weight.

I have a two year degree/Associate's of Applied Science in Business Management I got in December 2015. I also have 60,000 in student loan debt. I have 60,000 in student loan debt because I went to a 4 year university earlier and was lazy/didn't apply myself. I was put on academic suspension from the 4 year university and went to the two year university to get my Associate's of Applied Science in Business Management.

I am unemployed and have been applying/looking for jobs since I graduated this December. I live in Americus, Georgia in the United States. Very small/rural area.

Also I am timid, have bad social anxiety, low confidence.

With that said, I'm trying to improve my life and I have two job interviews next week. I have an interview for a server position at a restaurant and another position for a job requiring me to sell life insurance to elderly people over the phone.

If after the interviews I am offered both jobs, which job should I take? Which job would help me save more money to help pay off my student loans, develop financial independence, and get my own place? Also, which job would help me more in terms of building up my self esteem and confidence?

As far as self-esteem and confidence, start working out and laying off the junk food breh and get in shape and I promise once you start losing weight you will get that confidence and others will see that.

Whats the better pay?

I don't know the pay yet. I know the life insurance job is based off commission though.

I would take the serving job. You can make $400-$1000 a week, your schedule can be very flexible, and it will help you boost your confidence by interacting with customers and co-workers ( who are often young, good looking women).

Thanks, appreciate it.

:yeshrug: both, you're in a rough spot man...god bless, i know the feeling ....you're gonna have to reach down deep....VERY deep and figure something out ...because making it out of somewhere economically deprived can be mission impossible for most

Well, your backstory was depressing as shyt. Take the serving job because of the tips. In the meantime you should try to get into something like accounts payable or accounts receivable. The qualification for that is a 2 year accounting or business degree.

I'd say both if u can. If not I'd lean more towards server, that's if u think you'd be able to do the lifting and if you'd be able to stand for hours, plus it's also a lot of walking.
