The restaurant job sounds better as far as security purposes so I will go with that but I will also start walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes 5 days a week it would improve your mood and you will lose weight and build confidenceI've made several thread here regarding my situation in life and how I want to turn it around.
I am 30 years old and will be 31 years old this October.
I live with my mother. She financially takes care of me. I am unemployed/broke and only have 30 dollars in my savings account. I spend all money I ever get from my mom on junk food because I am addicted to junk food. I am obese at 275 pounds. I am not in shape and have no stamina. I'm weak and can't lift that much weight.
I have a two year degree/Associate's of Applied Science in Business Management I got in December 2015. I also have 60,000 in student loan debt. I have 60,000 in student loan debt because I went to a 4 year university earlier and was lazy/didn't apply myself. I was put on academic suspension from the 4 year university and went to the two year university to get my Associate's of Applied Science in Business Management.
I am unemployed and have been applying/looking for jobs since I graduated this December. I live in Americus, Georgia in the United States. Very small/rural area.
Also I am timid, have bad social anxiety, low confidence.
With that said, I'm trying to improve my life and I have two job interviews next week. I have an interview for a server position at a restaurant and another position for a job requiring me to sell life insurance to elderly people over the phone.
If after the interviews I am offered both jobs, which job should I take? Which job would help me save more money to help pay off my student loans, develop financial independence, and get my own place? Also, which job would help me more in terms of building up my self esteem and confidence?
Ups is always hiring. Plus it will get you in shape

If you can, take both jobs. Especially if you have nothing else going on. Do both until you can't anymore or until you find an even better paying one.
I'm working 2 jobs now, it's good having some extra change in the pocket.
Customer service jobs are hit and miss, people suck and can be rude but if the pay is worth it, you won't even think twice about it.
If you can only do one, I'd take the insurance job, I'm sure they pay a solid hourly wage and offer commission too.
Servers at a restaurant rely on tips, not everyone tips like they should and you gotta deal with ppl on a personal level, face to face. If it's a high end restaurant the tips can bejust gotta play it nice and be courteous and helpful as can be.
Hope this helped. Good luck![]()
Bro, you need to do both. See, that lazy sh#t has infected your mind so much that working two jobs is beyond your mental scope. You need to start generating money right now. As much money as you can.
You need to work and go to the gym....that's about it. At least until you have enough money to get your own place and become an adult. Right now, you're a child....a 30 year old child.
Peace
