Salute to Ye, but he literally had to act like a complete buffoon in order to get people to start talking about the album.

Notice that all of a sudden now he's gone quiet again.

I don't know how many Tidal artists will be willing to start all sorts of social media drama for publicity. I mean it works, but damn.

You guys believe anything. At 25M streams/day, 3M people have to stream at least 8x/day. It's possible but I doubt it.

Kanye honestly could end up making Jay Z millions. Because it showed the world proof of the potential for Tidal. Tidal doing crazy numbers despite such a low subscriber base. Something no one would've guessed or expected because it goes against what's logical. But Tidal has exclusives which attracted it's users. It got these exclusives by promising to pay much much more per stream than spotify. Its crazy that Tidal is holding strong against not one but two giant companies, Apple Music and Spotify which have so much more money and power than Tidal.

I'd invest in Tidal if I wasn't broke as shyt because Jay Z's plan is pretty smart and just proved how powerful it is. By offering to pay artists way more than spotify, and signing on popular artists who will profit in exchange for having the artist release their album as a Tidal exclusive for a period of time (then releasing it everywhere else). It was risky but this literally proves he has the right idea, Kanye's album did these numbers partly cause it was exclusive to Tidal.

All the people that mocked Jay Z when he first announced Tidal. Assuming he's unintelligent and that he had no plan to go against Spotify and was doing this for fun. Smh.

to be fair people mocked it because of the roll out they had which is still :snoop: but they offer more content than the competition

Nah lmao they can't flat out lie about the numbers. That would be fraud because Tidal has share holders and lying about the number of streams is basically the same as a car company lying about how many cars they sold, to drive up their stock. The numbers are true

People seriously underestimate the power that Ye has. If Jay dropped a Tidal exclusive, the number of subscriptions would have been way lower. I understand the hate for the updating album process too, but its actually a really smart move. He still gets people to listen to the album and to talk about it, almost 2 months after its released. Lets not forget tho that Jay's post-Black Album career is due to mostly Ye and also Beyoncé. Jay should thank God on his knees for Kanye
