Disrespect..

New nikkas coming up are, inherently, disrespectful and it gets laughed off and labeled as "trolling" to be accepted.

Now that shyt is normalized, so they never got that game from those before them...

When y'all soft nikkas co-signed drake....

:scust::birdman: He was the beginning... but what can you expect when the hip hop industry is not even in black hands... it's all white people making these decisions and putting these garbage ass rappers on the radio... but I've said my piece.

TYRONE GA!
when purposely crossing over became acceptable, it opened Pandora's Box to trash rappers being encouraged for hit making purposes. And worse....legit rappers watering their shyt down for radio play with trash radio joints. No more talent needed either. It became pop music.

This has been the case since the beginning

Rap music will always be party music first

And it takes talent to make radio hits. Anyone can sit with a pad a write metaphors

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
When shyt became a hustle and not an art.

Even the rappers who talked like it was a hustle ie. Wu tang. Biggie. Jay. Still treated it as high art and respected their forefathers. Somewhere round 98/99 it just became something else. I knew it was destined to fall when people would prop jay z iver nas cuz jay z was “a real hustler” and nas was “a lame poet”. That mentality never left the game.

Somewhere round mid to late 00s dudes turned hip hop into a fashion show, a popularity contest and thats it.

I blame the internet for making the art essentially FREE and forcing artists to become even more money driven instead of being driven artistically. Proppin up one hit wonders while dismissing the legends who put in work for 20 years, yet claimingbthey fell off.

That superficial bullshyt basically
