This. Common sense, my own hardships as a black man in addition to the general plights of the world tell me that god doesn't exist or is an uncaring a$$hole. Any deity that allows slavery to exist is not worth my attention.

It just came to me one day that the slave and the slave master both praying to the same God and equally believing their prayers would be answered. I couldn't accept that. Especially when the people that looked like me seemed to be losing that prayer battle for centuries.

Science can't even figure out how those pyramids got erected(not for real) but you expecting current science to prove that there's a higher power?

You sound like an agnostic like myself more than atheist. I don't believe or disbelieve bc we just don't know but I'm open to whichever provides concrete evidence.

I neither know nor believe God exists because again God is a concept to me
So technically I'm an agnostic atheist
However, I don't mind being called agnostic either and maybe I am simply agnostic at this point

I'm not an Atheist but I don't believe in the Abrahamic conception of God. The closest belief I can align myself with is Deism, which states that God exists but doesn't interfere or interact with his creation.

My biggest gripe is animals bugs in particular. Think of how many bugs you've killed they are made from the same organic material as us, from the same cellular processes , and if he existed by the same God and yet I bet you never thought they went to heaven

Nothing makes a humans life more important than a bug's. We are made from the same organic material , same cellular processes, the same things can kill us, and the same thing happens to us when we die.

Yes I have all the time and that's the point I'm making. I just killed a spider and that shyt isn't going to heaven it's going to decompose and get ate by other organisms and the Earth going to keep on turning just like when humans die

For my Atheists on here (I'm theist), what made you one? Also, how do you go through life without a higher being involved? Isn't that hard to do because humans are flawed. What do you think about the afterlife? Do you believe in it? For me, g-d is my foundation.
