If i'm a coach/GM and i have to pick between the two the only thing that makes me like Melos game more than Durants is Melos low post game. His post game is better than Durants (and Lebron's for now)

Outside of that I'll pick Durant every time

1. Younger
2. Faster
3. More athletic
4. Just as good if not better shooter
5. Just as good a rebounder
6. Can play within most systems whereas I cant see Melo playing in a fast pace team anymore

I used to be a huge Melo fan but it seemed like his game has just stagnated. Unlike Durant who has continuously improved his playmaking every year Melo has been content to be a scorer and that's about it. With his body he should be approaching 10 boards a game each and every season since he is not the passer like say a Bron is. I've never felt that Carmelo has come in a season in tip top shape with the mindset to dominate the whole season. Not just the first 30 or 40 games.
