Just b/c Durant isn't an emotional live wire like Westbrook doesn't mean he isn't the alpha male/lead personality on that team. He keeps everyone in line & is the unquestioned leader in OKC.
By comparison, Melo scores, he doesn't lead. There's a difference

I've never seen Durant keep anyone in line. In fact, this season he's been much more of an emotional livewire than years past, racking up technicals.
And he certainly doesn't keep Westbrook in line.
