I talk about it because I'm tired of delusional bullshyt on this forum, often from Nas stans who can't let go a battle that happened over two decades ago. It's nauseating. I'm not "standing up" for Jay and the fact that you see it like that proves my point. I am talking facts, you are talking fantasy. Roc Nation and Mass Appeal are not even doing the same shyt overall. They don't have the same budgets, they don't have the same reaches. But they both do some cool shyt that we as rap fans like. Yet we can't even acknowledge that because it always delves into some weirdo battle over who is more successful, who has more money, who is making bigger business moves, etc. Well Jay has more money and Roc Nation is much more successful than Mass Appeal. Who gives a fukk.

This shyt been killing the forum for YEARS. And now we got Kendrick and Drake stans doing the same shyt.
oh ok.. so basically you want me to pull up your anti Jay rhetoric is what you saying??

I can do that for you.. Ive read a bunch of it in the last 10 min or so

Jay is ...

Reportedly a billionaire

First rapper to be inducted into the Song Writer's Hall of Fame and a RRHOF inductee

20x Grammy award winner

His last album was a critical and commercial success

No baby momma drama we know of....married to Beyonce the mother of his 3 children

Tyty good, Emory good, Juan, etc

Roc Nation has produced several plat albums, executive produced 2 Emmy winning Superbowl performances, they are a thriving sports agency

There are no losers here, all things considered

Why can't we all just get along lol

Operating on two different levels, Roc Nation has some of the biggest artists in the world, Mass Appeal is minute in comparison.

You mean Live Nation? Let's keep it honest

The middle east don't fear Israel because of Israel. It's the country behind Israel..USA

An indie label having the biggest artists in the world is like a Chinese man having the biggest d!ck

Yeah the 10 Platinum albums aren’t success(mass appeal has zero)

Serious question, what does this mean in 2025 ?
Never mind that RN n MA are not playing in the same Rap field

We live in a world where a tic tok challenge has more pull than a radio DJ in LA NYC or CHI

this is what mass appeal doing

  • Nas & DJ Premier: A collaborative album from the two artists.
  • Ghostface Killah: A sequel to his 2000 classic, titled Supreme Clientele 2.
  • Mobb Deep: The first album since the passing of Prodigy, with Infinite releasing on CD October 10, 2025.
  • Raekwon: A new album titled Emperor's New Clothes.
  • De La Soul: The first album since the passing of Trugoy the Dove.
  • Big L: A posthumous release, featuring re-released and re-mixed versions of his songs.
  • Surprise guest: The series also includes a project from an unannounced artist.

Serious question, is this satire?? Ngga nobody gives a fukk about these projects from a business perspective

Ghostface has dropped a dozen albums the last decade….New Rae is cool but, ok??… Big L?! No one is the history of rap has ever gave af about cut n paste posthumous albums. And most importantly, Mass Appeal was established in 2013! Their branding is corny. When I see Mass Appeal I think of some forced ode to hip hop corny shyt you’d play for coworkers. This lump rollout of old head rap is corny ——and I’m an old head.

Be the 2025 Koch brehs. Foh

Roc Nation so trash. Lmao.

Their legacy is Lil Uzi Vert, Megan Thee Stallion, and begging for Grammy awards :laff:

So now we've gone from me being the Nas stan who defends Jay to the...Jay hater who pretend he's not a Jay hater? I'm confused.

Post from over a decade ago lmao.

These companies are doing 2 completely different things. Mass Appeal is extremely hip hop focused and more about preserving the art of it. Roc Nation is HUGE and just all around bigger than rap. They don’t have the same goals.

Its ironic how the two companies reflect the personalities and ambitions of the people who lead it.
