What NBA narrative are you glad no longer exists?

Along the same lines: remember when everyone thought the league would be only a bunch of 6'9+ players running around at minimum?
Turns out that taller players have a difficult time checking the quick, shifty guards with handles. Especially when they're iso'd on an island and those guards can launch logo threes. That low center of gravity is treacherous to keep up with.
Got to have a balanced team to win so you don't get exposed because you decided to stack your roster with a whole bunch of players on one end of the height spectrum and neglect the other.
Those hyper-athletic, agile, two-way 6'4-6'5 shooting guards (too tall for small guards, too quick for tall wings) are going to be high value game breakers again (always have been but we went through a drought), watch.
Also, that the "midrange is a bad shot" is now dead again. Turns out it's a really good shot for the players who are experts at it. What a surprise.

You have a point but all of a sudden now there is C. Wood in Houston, Valancunias in New Orleans is having a break out year, Wendell Carter Jr in Orlando, Robert Williams on the Celtics , Jared Allen In Cleveland has been balling , Rudy Gobert I'm sure there are more but they all been having a great performance this year.

Wood and Allen are the best players on their teams. Give Gobert a great shooting guard (which he has) and pg and they will make the playoffs every year.

Just because they can't create a shot it doesn't mean they aren't valuable to their team.
Allen has the highest PER ,Field Goal percentage and Rebounds on the team the game isn't all about shot creation.
Gobert leads the team in multiple areas they wouldn't be where they are without him.
Defense and rebounding still exist all you need is a couple of pieces to add to have a semi good team.
