I actually see your point with that. Either way, he's gonna be a 25 plus million dollar receiver just based on his numbers alone. If we don't pay him, somebody else will. Question is, who do we replace him with? We can't trade for any of those guys you like.

Gotta go in the draft this year if they trade him this year. I like any LSU WR. I don't see any star WR out there FA. I guess O'Dell for the low, but at this point that's more risk than reward.

Yeah and like @feelosofer said, he's gonna basically be useless this season, BUT as for OBJ he'd be no more than a number 3. He's not a blocker and othwr than his name, I don't see him being any more helpful than Jennings for us. I can't wait for this season to start man. This is probably our last real chance before we do a whole Rams level rebuild unless we nail this draft.

Some of the early round WR's we've been attached to are basically Deebo replacements Xavier Legette and Malachi Corley. Then of course Rice and McCaffrey later on are probably slot guys so they wouldn't take Deebo or Aiyuk's spot that's if they are even realistic targets.

He'd have to be like Purdy and ball out the gate. Which is why if they picked an LSU WR the chance is high he gets on the field day 1

The thing is even if we trade Aiyuk and get a good return back and even if we draft a great WR for the future, this year in particular we will have a big ass downgrade.
