Honestly, this is where "marriage" is and should be headed in the future. Monogamy is unnatural IMO. You look at the amount of "failed" marriages on account of "cheating" and chalk it up to people being...horrible when the truth the is the notion that you should only be with one sexual partner your whole life is a socially imposed standard, not a natural one. And it's definitely more of a patriarchal design in which men's self worth can be bolstered by fukking a large amount of women while simultaneously keeping other men from touching "his".

It's unsustainable...and while "open" relationships aren't for everybody, the reason why they wouldn't be at present in my opinion is because of the warped ideals that we've grown up with. A couple generations from now things will get even less patriarchal (the pendulum has to swing in the other direction) and more abstract for better and worse...monogamy is not going to be the jam.
