People think the only factions is just ASSAD vs ISIS...this is NOT true. ISIS was created out of radicals who exploited legitimate FSA opposition to ASSAD. There ARE secular factions fighting ASSAD but who were drowned out by fukkheads cutting people's heads off outside of Aleppo/Damascus.

The problem is that a lot of wasted tax dollars were unknowingly (to the populace) pumped into the creation of these rebel groups in order to cause more fragmentation in the region and russia is actually being proactive. BUT THATS NOT HOW GEOPOLITICS WORKS

firstly Russia has been an ally of Syria for ever, If Assad goes they lose, If he stays the status quo remains the same...
They have been allies with Syria all these years and they didnt pinch the south side of Turkey but all of a sudden Now they want to?

The targets they hit weren't on accident it was a statement. What Russia did was a direct attack on Western aims in the region.
You're not supposed to bomb civilian population centers.

Part of the reason we need Syria to fall is that if Russia maintains that relationship, it gets harder for Turkey to house our strategic missile defence against them that has been in place for decades. This is a MASSIVE geopolitical importance to retain any influence we have in that area.
