What rappers from the 80s & 90s would be considered weirdos if they were modern day rappers?

Today? Nobody.

De La was getting clowned for wearing tie-dyed shirts and wooden beads. These rappers nowadays wear make up and skirts. What was weird back then is not even in the same ball park as now. It's not even the same sport.

This the problem. Anytime intelligent lyrics or afrocentricism pops up its met with this reaction.

Aint nothin weird about intelligent black men.

Aint nuthin weird about being afrocentric.

Theres clearly a difference between native tongues and kool keith, mf doom etc.

If joey badass came out in the 90s he wouldnt be a weirdo neither would chance the rapper.

Liluzivert definitely. Ngga is pmdawn territory :scust:
i fukk with vert, that's the crazy part:pachaha:

I think it's about style, not content, cause every "category" had rappers say real shyt regularly.

I hate the categories really. I hate meaningless categories in general

I don't think Tribe was weird at all. I mean I guess their videos, branding, and some of the shyt they wore was kinda off the wall and different but it wasn't weird it was just really creative and Afrocentric. Besides, Phife would be dipped in sports apparel and Tip in designers. They spoke like regular dudes.

I think Del is a weirdo, Arrested Development was weirdos, ODB was crazy, Malachi the Nut Cracker was an insane weirdo, Andre 3000 became a weirdo with the shyt he was wearing, MF Doom is a weirdo to the max, Kool Keith was a weirdo, Eminem was weird, Busta Rhymes outfits was weird as well as how animated he is, KRS-One always been weird to me with all the conspiracies and shyt he spews.

No they weren't

I was actually alive and aware back then ... I need to see proof of this ...
