Being that this is the best forum on the net for hip hop debate (or at least should be) I'd love to hear your thoughts in the interest of edification.

Personally it's just levels to the game. I honestly think Nas and Hov are the only ones on the same level when it comes to hip hop standards. People like krs one, rakim are legendary and icons but nas and HOV took what they did to a whole new level. Kanye discography has some highs for sure, but his last few havent been good. Also i cant include him when he doesnt write all his lyrics.
