If you sign with B$B the deal would be done in a tent since that is all the office space they can afford right now.

If you sign with Epic you will have to record your album in a tent.

If you sign with OVO you will at least record in a studio but youll live in a tent inside the studio.

If you sign with Cash Money you will live in a fort you make out of chairs and blankets on Stunna Island but nothing is yours.

If you sign up for Shady / Interscope / Aftermath you'll be living in an actual tent down the alley from Obie Trice.

I wouldn't take any deal that wasn't agree upon by The Coli A&Rs :troll:

depends on your touring... are you doing stadiums with expensive backdrops and helicopters coming down from the ceiling and kanye style light shows

or are you doing like the roots... just you and the band and a mic

same goes for an album... are you paying 150k a beat with 20 songs and 30 features

or you producing yourself with no one on it like j. cole?
:russ: @ helicopters but nah the simple shyt, me, the band, the mic.

And I'm not one of those artists (I got so many posts ITT since I rap). I hate when artists have features on 60% of their albums, so I'd be light in that regard. As far beats it would be myself, my cousin and a friend since high school (8 years). So they wouldn't charge me per beat but of course I'm throwing them points on the album (the point system is still used isn't it?)

people ask what's the difference and why albums ain't selling.... MONEY is the answer... these nikkas was pumping 10 million per album into shyt... and not just cash money... bussa buss was doing 4 million dollar videos and shyt :blessed:

90s/00s rap money was fukking crazy... and also the reason why these labels said "never again"

So what are the artists that are netting over a mill and in the black doing? Smaller than standard advances? Are their singles putting in the work at $1.29 a piece? Radio?

Also what does an imprint do for an artist? When an artist announces his imprint/sub-label it's celebrated.

Singles/features, merch, endorsements, reality shows, club appearances........

Smaller advance means they have less promo...smaller sales

Imprints are just sub-divisions of that machine except now the artist gets to pass the loan on to new talent....

I know it was...shyt Wayne's last deal he just signed Cash Money was supposed to give a $10 million advance and that's a couple years ago.

But nah I wouldn't need all that shyt. Cole-lite on the boards, Roots-style touring.

5 and it's not even a question

we talking about record for record, the highest selling female artist of all time... nobody's first two albums have sold more

then i'd be her first rap artist... so you know white world population going to at least buy up my first record... and it's getting hella spins on every type of station... why?? cause that lead single with adele on the hook and her in the video

then it's ONE fukking album... so sell 10 milly or flop.. there will be no shelf because i'm going... WITH all my pub and my masters

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit... you not sticking me with any label known to drop/shelf/cheat nikkas.. and that's basically everyone named but hers

and any of those deal where you get money up front, better believe they want to make that money back or welcome to never seeing another release date.... ever

She changed record labels after that Rolling Deep album ...hate to break it to you

Adele's team won't let her collab with anyone breh ... she's a cash cow
and even though she loves hip hop as a person...the brand can't be associated with that
due to her cac fan base......which is funny given Mariah, Taylor Swift, Kate Perry have rap collabos

Tyler did sign with XL Recordings and the guys are a good label ....
They did some work with Bobby Womack and I think they put together Gorillaz

say you were a popping artist and were blowing and got offered label deals, which are you taking ?

1. $1 Million record deal with Shady/Aftermath

2. $2 Million, 5 Album deal with Cash Money. it allows you to have all your publishing and you get paid 25 % of all your music sales.

3. $1 Million deal with Epic Records

4. $ 2 Million deal with OVO Sound. (you might have to live in a tent)

5. a 1 album deal, where you get 100 % creative control, and receive ownership of master recordings. the label is XL Recordings (Adele's label)

6. $6 Million deal for three albums, allow you to own a record label imprint that gets you 40 % ownership of imprint, and a biopic. the label is interscope

7. 7 album 360 deal with FilmOnDotCom

8. $50K deal with B$B Records. if you don't sign then Lito and Troy Ave will diss you.

9. a blunt and a pint of lean if you sign with Glo Gang

I'm not signing with Aftermath cause i dont support white rappers
I'm not signing with OVO even though it would get me instant popularity, but I think OVO on that illuminati/satanic shyt.
I'm not 5 album deal with Cash Money, cause I may not wanna do 5 albums.

25 is adele's third though. So using 19 and 21...

Whitney's first two > than adele's first two(both domestic u.s. and global)
