The main reason he will get off is that in Minneapolis, Chicago and many other cities the police departments are basically blackmailing/extorting mayors by falling back and allowing crime to run rampant. This is the reason that you see HUGE increases in all kinds of violent crime nationwide. The police know they have mayors/governors by the balls. They call it "going fetal." This is the response every time there are protests/social movements around policing. Mayors etc know this is happening but they can't come out and say it publicly.

i seriously doubt it. this will be Broadway Joe's opportunity to crack the whip and really reassure white folk he's still one of them. or he's gonna have to send out the national guard to call off those white folk, cause they're not gonna sit around and watch their cities torn up again and trump isn't in office.

This is what police unions all across the country are doing. Baltimore police did the same thing after the Freddie Gray riots. Since then Baltimore has been seeing record murders. Over here in NYC we saw record police retirements and quitting. And on top of that a work slowdown. Basically anytime they come under scrutiny they throw a major bytch fit against calls for reform. Thats what they do. Police union are mafias that hold more sway and power than the police commissioner. Plus they have deep pockets and use political intimidation. We have to be very real with the fact that law enforcement in America is compromised. Its full of fascists. 84% of law enforcement supported Trump in 2016. That number must have been in the 90s for 2020. Which tells you everything you need to know about police. Moderate Democrats are afraid to even talk about this because too many of them still support police.
