I downloaded Spotify and created a free account. I'm using a jailbreak app to unlock premium features. Just add their repo http://repo.insanelyi.com/ and search for spotify4all if you're already jailbroken. I'd post a version for android but I don't have an android with me at the moment to unlock it. I will later.

I still use Google Play Music. When I download albums I now use this free VPN.

I highly recommend it! Don't try to torrent through their main Japan vpn, use another country or another connection because the rules are different and some kind of connections like torrents are bocked depending on what node you connect to. I think that shyt requires Google Play Music All Access. I don't have that but if I had a huge Spotify Playlist I'd activate the free 30 day version just to move my shyt over.

Spotify seems to just be better organized and I like the radio mode better...but Google play allows you to just download some shyt and its instantly in the cloud spotify can do that as well but it doesn't have the same capacity as Google play.

No big difference other than Google allowing you to upload more songs and download more. Spotify limit is 10,000 songs for premium. I have both and I think gp is a better value especialy with the keys music integration with YouTube...However spotify interface shyts all over googles.

I was on Spotify but I switched to Rdio now I'm fukking with this TIDAL free trial. Their library isn't that big but the quality is some next level shyt.

It's only one of over 5 things I use, but don't sleep on Grooveshark (especially if you run AdBlock). It looks initially like a bootleg Spotify, but it's like entirely built from user uploads, so there's a lot of shyt on there that isn't available to other streaming services. Also free.
