Surprised nobody mentioned that early 2000s charger team, to me they had a whip on every side of the ball, were arguably the best team in the league on paper and always found a way to disappoint in the playoffs.

Man that 2004 team had everything going for it in terms of narratives. Had a terrible year beforehand where they were overranke, got exposed by USC who ended up making it in 2004 of course. They played a more difficult schedule than either OU or USC I forgot which. We supposedly laid claim to the title of RBU, and having our two elite RBs vs Bush would’ve been a good way to settle that. Nah they never had the juice like that. Their best chance making the super bowl was when they made it to the AFC championship game and LT was standing around on the sidelines.
