What the Hell is going on with Kawhi Leonard?

I get leaving Toronto...he didn't want to be there to begin with, getting taxed out the ass, and he wanted to go home. What I don't get is not maxing the fukk out on your deal when you have this degenerative (ie never gonna get better, only gonna get worse for those unaware) condition.

I really don't understand why he went to the Clippers. Yea they'll be a good team but he can't miss the games he needs to miss and still end up with a decent seed. Maybe he feels it doesn't matter since the path to the finals likely goes through LA anyway? But if he was on the Raptors right now he'd be playing limited minutes, missing multiple games, and managing to truly rest up for a playoff push. All while maintaining the 1 or 2 seed in the east.

He didn't sign in Toronto, he was traded there; he never wanted to be there in the first place and he was born in LA and lives near SD - you really don't understand why he chose the Clippers?

I'm not understanding the coasting argument. You have past highlights to watch and compare movement, missed a full year and scapegoated the Spurs but it's turning out they were right this whole time, sat out 22 regular season games in Toronto and still limped around in the Finals, he's missing games now with the Clippers, NBA made the injury public.

Either he's a super villain faking injury and abusing the system in ways no other athlete has or the guy is breaking down in front of you.
