Is there any real difference from guys punching each other, and guys using their bodies as projectiles and battering rams to inflict punishment on their opponents?
UFC adapting it's rules to be whatever will make it look more civilized to a pretentious, reactionary and racist fanbase
.... don't confuse that with this breh.
yeah, the difference is that the object of football is to get the ball across the goal line.
but you've proven a few times in this thread why football is only liked by a select few worldwide and why the culture of it turns so many off who weren't born into - and increasingly more and more who were.
and now we're apparently in agreement that it has the potential to make people act like psychopaths off the field as well.
for the record, i dont think there is something specifically wrong with NFL players, but i do think the game CAN reinforce violent impulses, and you've agreed with that here. combined with a league focused solely on the bottom line and a culture of male fans who link their masculinity with the violence of the sport, the whole environs of the game is fukked and headed downhill.
i dont really know what you're on about with racist UFC fans, im not one myself. the rule i was referring to is kicking people in the head while they're down, which has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the projected target audience of converted MMA fans being turned off by people on the ground getting kicked in the head.
