I live 45 minutes from Birmingham. It's not really bad.

I'm a Virginia boy. You may be used to that old cracker racism down there. However, a Black breh from a moderate state isn't. One time I went to a hospital in Alabama. Because my cousins were visiting a dead friend. Two old White women stared us down in that elevator. That old White hate.

South Carolina.

Confederate flags everywhere.
And just a :mjpls: vibe from every cac.
Fat cac on a rascal in Walmart called me "boy."

I cussed his fat ass and he apologized REAL quick when he realized I wasn't a local cat.

But the creepiest state I've ever been in was Utah.
BEAUTIFUL state, though (the canyons I drove through was :wow: status, I sweat), but the white people there gave me the shivers...

Stayed in St. George for about a week for a college basketball tournament...
Outside of another team from Arizona, WE WERE THE ONLY BLACK FOLKS- hell, the only non white people- IN THE ENTIRE CITY.
The cacs there would be SUPER nice and had these Stepford smiles that made your skin crawl.

And at this Golden Corral we ate at the servers would recite this weird song everytime we came.
Meanwhile, my coach and his wife (both black) would be furious after we ate.
Turns out they were reciting a song about killing slaves.
Ate nothing but McDonald's after that.

The whole state had a "Get Out" feel to it.
Never passing through there again.
*shudders*
:merchant:

What song?

this makes no sense

GA Dome is in the middle of Vine City..A spot where you don't drive there direct or walk to ya ride because you stand a chance of gettin shot or not finding your wheels where you left it

Turner Field is on the Westside (MLK, McDaniel, Pittsburgh) where about two blocks north on Pryor+University you run the risk of gettin shot or robbed if you make a wrong turn anywhere outside the stadium...They wanna move the team to Cobb where they don't like nikkas with a passion and still the only place in the metro ATL without a MARTA line after 30+ years

I know that day is coming but in my 29 years I have not personally experienced racism even though I've seen the evidence of it in certain places.

I'm from Chicago and I've pretty much been everywhere. I'm surprised some of the places mentioned, Maine, South Carolina, Mississippi, Ohio and Alabama had some of the nicest and most hospitable people that I've ever met in the United States. Hell my family came to Chicago from rural Ohio and all they did was interbreed with white folks. shyt, even my 3rd Great Grandfather's 3rd wife was white. And this was in 1853 before the emancipation proclamation in Piqua, Ohio.

I do carry myself well and people that I come across may get the impression that I'm not really the one to mess with. I don't know, never had any blatant issues anywhere I've been.
