My dad had 9 sons before me, then he had me. He was very hands on and believed in my dreams. As a child I told him I wanted to dance and be like Josephine Baker and he nurtured that. Moms was African so she didn't think the arts was a serious thing, but my pops used to take me to ballet classes when I was young. I was in a dance studio working my butt off. He instilled hard work ethic in me at a young age. I couldn't dance if I didn't keep my grades up or do my chores. That still lives on in me. Although I have a few injuries from it, I'm grateful my dad pushed me in that direction. I'm doing the same for my kids. I just let them flourish.

My pop's a old school Chicago hustler. Always on the grind and always looking for the next move. He had 15 siblings so pretty much everybody in the hood he grew up in knows him or someone else in my family. Pops and my uncles was/is the GOAT support group. Between my pops, uncles and all the cousins i got those nikkas made me feel like I could accomplish anything and I always felt like someone had my back. Right or wrong.
Pops cheated like crazy on my mom but he never hit her and when they divorced he made sure she would never need or want for anything. Dude was always there for me and even tho he was really strict back in the day I see why he was and I respect him more for it.

Now we're best friends and we even do some business together. True stand up guy. That's the main reason why I haven't had kids yet at 32, cuz I see the work he put in and I know I have alot to live up to so my shyt needs to be together before I drop that seed.
