i dont remember any of this. The term goat wasnt even used back then. The main reason I say all the Pac love is fake is because Ice cube was the real king of the west in the early - mid 90's. Ice Cube was the rapper who had love on all coasts. Ice Cube was the bigger star with better albums. Yet no one puts Cube on the same pedistool that they do pac....it looks phoney and contived. You can hear Cubes influence all over Strictly 4 My NIKKAS....No one ever mentions how cube united a Blood and Crip on one album and made a classic. This was his way of unity. Meanwhile Pac got killed trying to be down on some gangster sh*t which divided Bloods and crips..

Well in my opinion Cube is underated by everybody, not just Pac stans......cube number two on my list and realistically its hard for ANY stan of anybody to make a argument against Cube bein the goat outside of personal preference....2 classic group albums 2 seperate groups,3 classic albums,NWA's impact, penning other nikkas classics if u count all the writing he did on eazy duz it.,and as u said he also has influence....but don't just put that on Pac fans, the media need to take blames and all fans period for sleepin on Cube...

Far as Cube bein King musically let's be honest, around 93 that title had been turned over to Snoop,Cube wouldn't have been a factor as to why Pac couldn't be king once he blew, even though MATW wuz succesful he still wuznt the king until AEOM dropped, even as a kid Pac wuz the thing to talk about at that point, hottest music, best storyline, that's who we wuz rootin for....id say him and snoop wuz 1A and 1B at that point.....I wuz too young to know about Cube durin his reign so my perception of west coast king goes from MC Hammer first:pachaha: then Snoop, then Pac....I know the hammer pick ain't accurate but as a kid he ran the world to me,but there wuz a transition from Cube bein the king....post 2pacalypse u couldn't say musically he wuz much less popular than Spice 1...but with the controversy of MATW he well surpassed Spice at that point....AEOM took it to the next level,he wuznt cemented as the king forever but nobody wuz at that point.

Pac fans been rockin with em for damn near 20 yrs,the ones that only fuked wit em cuz he died have long since jumped ship to sumthing else, nikkas still sayin he the goat really mean that shyt.....there's a statute of limitations on nikkas lovin a dead rapper:pachaha: that fake love and props don't last forever

The ability to write a great song trumps all. That man had songs on soundtracks that would be other rappers best material.

I think Pac represented a culmination point.Somebody like him had to be born out of the times.

The 60's/70's with the Black Liberation movements....The crack/gang infested 80's

Just look at his history. No other rapper was dead in the middle of those two periods like he was

The times/environment shape who we are, but it's highly concentrated in certain individuals. These people have a heightened sense of awareness/consciousness.Damn near some X Men, mutant type shyt.

I think Pac was one of those people.Like a clairvoyant or some shyt

He just happened to cross paths with hip hop & used it as a platform to express his gift through rap.

had a distinct flow. his flow didn't distract from the beat but wasn't forgettable either. knew how to use infliction in his voice. you could clearly understand the words. very straightforward lyrics that people didn't have to decipher but yet still had a poetic vibe to the words (rhyme schemes, alliteration, the way he would build up on ideas). also, one clever thing he did with his vocals is that it sounded like he always overdub over them and kept most of it. it made is voice sound even more powerful.

add the whole rebel/revolutionary image, the whole story, etc.
