Part of it was to play up the sexuality and EXPLICIT nature of rap, and it's controversy, esp. in the mid 90's, I know I first heard sounds and phrases from rap skits, that I hadn't ever heard before, in my early teens. It was also a way to showcase humor and personality, before instagram and social media.

The amount of times that porn skit on 2001 and Doctor's Office on the Chronic have come on at a bad time, I completely agree with the OP :scust:

Most other skits may have been completely fine and added a lot of artistic value or whatever, but for me, those two stinking ass apples ruin the whole barrel. I can't do skits as a concept because of that filth

:mjlol:....skits are bridges for cohesiveness...a skit at the beginning of the album sets the tone and gives u a feel or mood of the album...example is Black Robs Life Story...skit at the beginning then it transitions into the opening song...if u ever made an album or been in the studio its alot of down time...ppl just be fukkin around kicking it while the engineer doin his job..making skits kills time...
