The fact that there are thousands of religions out there that are all claiming to be correct while offering the same amount of evidence for their claims. Faith requires no evidence.

Also, the fact that science has given us more answers about the world around us than all religions combined.
many religions are just veiled witchcraft

there is a big difference with the God of Israel.

Anthropology

Made the concept of Adam and Eve's original sin obsolete

Which means Jesus died for nothing even if he did exist

Actually Anthropology didn't make me an atheist it just made me an ex christian. The concept of a creator is an interesting placeholder for our current gap in knowledge so technically I'm agnostic to the concept of a creator and atheist to the idea of traditional religions.

With that said Eastern Philosophy and Buddhism is probably the best thing for a human beings mental health next to professional psychology help like therapy or medication and it usually doesn't contradict science and reality the way the 3 Abrahamic faiths do

This is a really good answer.

I started drifting to disbelief when I was like 7 tbh, I just suppressed it because everyone else around me were religious. But at around 14 I discovered the online atheist community(who were kinda cringey when I look back) and that pretty much emboldened me to take that leap.

Nowadays I guess I’m more agnostic or whatever but I don’t really care about questioning this stuff anymore because it’s mostly irrelevant to my life.

This is facts. They had me out here ready to debate anybody anytime. It was on sight for Christians.

The concept of hell and the fact that since god knows all, that means he created people he knows would end up in hell. Kind of sadistic if you ask me.

But i don't hate religion completely, it serves to instill some morals in people who otherwise would be on demon time.

I'm no longer an atheist but in the period where I had lost my faith (and even went so far as to mess with dark forces, which I guess isn't atheist lol)

I got to a point where I felt God abandoned me so I lost a lot of people, money, and comforts. So I tried to abandon right back. Only to find temporary success and challenges I never imagined.

If I had to pick a particular moment, it was probably sleeping under a highway bridge in north Austin off Research.

religion isnt God

this is precisely why you dont see Egypt/Judah anymore. They believed in their witchcraft and their illusions of magic more than God and they were delivered into the hands of their oppressors

Love of God is the only thing that makes someone whole and of safe understanding

everything else is tried by fire and will wither.

the quote is actually meant to charge believers over proselytizing. You cant win hearts for christ through condemnation.
This is the kind of shyt that turned me away. What the hell are you saying:russ:Hyper vague asf. Which god are you talking about, there are millions:skip:

Again I'm not anti-God atm. I was for a while, when I was young. Ironically my scientific pursuits have brought me closer to the concept of "god", nature or the first "Cause" then religion ever has.

Deism which became popular with the enlightenment is also pretty compatible with science.

For those who don't know, at a simple level deists believe there is a God but that God intervenes in the universe extremely rarely if ever at all. God essentially set the foundation for the Universe to begin, and just let things play out from there
