What was the last game you bought at the store for midnight launch?

Last game I went and lined up for was Spider-man 2018 because I had store credit from something and i just put it on spider-man. I was on a long ass line because it released the same day as 2k Kobe edition. I remember when it was my turn at the register i was like yeah “spider-man” and brehs was like ooooooooh shyt, i heard that spider-man game was dope.

Probably Final Fantasy XV. To be honest I don't remember. I went to them regularly until GCU ended at Best Buy then I mostly stopped buying physical games because there was price parity.

Now if you count system midnight launches I've done them all recently from the Switch to the Xbox Series X to the PS5.

Damn I don't even remember if I'm being honest... The last few "midnight" releases were really 9:30PM releases at my local Gamestops. I think the last thing I bought was the PSVR at midnight back at launch. After that I bought Crash N Sane Trilogy but it was a early release type thing.

I remember going to Blockbuster around 2010~2011 at midnight and seeing a long ass line wrapped around the store of kids buying the latest COD game.

Nowadays with digital releases being more ubiquitous, that midnight release at the store shyt is soon to be a distant memory.

ya it had to be san andreas…I haven’t gone to that mall since maybe 2004-2005…plus gamestop is no longer there so it was a minute ago…the only other game I can think of is maybe COD but I couldn’t see myself leaving the house that late for a COD game unless I happened to be up and was really fukking bored…nah it wouldn’t have been a COD game not during that time period
