Hometown of Cherokee at Law
besides the obvious disgraces Trill OG & Lil Kim

the worst are easily The Blueprint, The Fix & Stillmatic. All lifetime achievement award ratings more than true blue classics. Youngsters will disagree but they have no cultural cache or context and grew up on bambastic wrestling theme music.
How can something be a lifetime achievement award at the peak of one's career? :skip:

Rewind
2nd Childhood
You're The man
Guess Who's Bizzack
maybe 5-6 songs off blueprint

I'm grading on an aughts curve as well. I rarely play any of these songs.
Negged for good reason. Way to disrespect some classics. Listen to Post Malone and Demi Lovato breh

I sorta agree, it kind of shows how the hip hop community took some of the music for granite in the 90s to early 00s

Autocorrect undefeated, never lost. :wow:

You're right, though. I think people thought that it was just a given that hip hop would always be that quality forever. There are a lot of albums that for 4/4.5 that were underrated just because the expectation of what a 5 mic album was was so astronomically high back then. A lot of those albums, if they were of the same quality and released today, would probably be seen as instant classics.

But it's always funny seeing this thread pop up, because it almost always includes "besides the Lil Kim album" as a qualifier. I remember thinking it was impossible for that to be a 5 mic album z and giving it a listen to see just how wrong they were. Maybe one of the most unintentionally funny albums I've listened to.

How bout Edutainment?

The Source tried to erase that from its archives in the 100th issue with LL on the cover but later brought it back on the list in a later issue discussing 5 mic albums ( I got both issues).

I couldn’t honestly think of an album that would be 5 mics today, maybe DAMN
