The bias against the west coast was ridiculous. Doggystyle and The Chronic are obvious 5 mic albums. They didn't even rate All Eyez on Me until later and then gave it a 5 because they knew they had to. shyts funny to me

Face's writing was a shell of it's former self. He tells no stories or goes in-depth with his deteriorating sanity like he usually does.



Nothing on The Fix is touching this joint alone.

It was a handpicked "classic" that didn't actually resonate with the people like that. And if you think I'm lying, check the stats:

Didn't even go gold despite this being his "classic" and "biggest album" (marketing/promo-wise anyway)

It’s similar to people who claim ‘Be’ is the best Common album. Quickest way to identify a late comer fan of both artists.

Almost half if not most of these albums weren't even originally 5-mics albums; They went back gave some of these albums 5-mics. The Source went back and gave most of the 80s albums on that list 5-mics. Ready to Die, The Chronic, Reasonable Doubt, Doggystyle, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx also wasn't originally 5-mic albums. I thought at the time the Fix didn't deserve 5-mics.

the worst are easily The Blueprint, The Fix & Stillmatic. All lifetime achievement award ratings more than true blue classics. Youngsters will disagree but they have no cultural cache or context and grew up on bambastic wrestling theme music.
