What was your first experience like on the internet?

Legit thinking about how I connected online and it really began out of curiosity. In 95 there were ads on ESPN promoting ESPN.com. I was like “huh.” So like any curious 9 year old, I waited until I was able to access a computer and try it. I want to say up until then, I used the computer for strictly word processing. My mother was a receptionist so we had one but it was very basic. Anywho one Saturday I went to the mall and inside a footlocker ( or maybe circuit city) there was kiosk with the internet on it. I remember it took dumb long to download and the interface was trash but yeah, that was my first experience. Maybe a year or two later my dad bought “webtv” and we had that for a while. Then we got desk top and so forth.

My first experience with the internet was in 2000 when i immigrated to the US to join my mom. She had a Compaq computer and AOL dial up. I was really amazed by how much info was on the internet. When i found i out you could actually shop online, that blew my mind away. I thought you paid for online shopping by sliding your credit card or cash into the floppy disk drive.
