What was your opinion of "prime" Eminem?

One of my favorite MC's of all time.

I can listen to your music but I can't really be a fan of yours if you don't impress me or flat out make me jealous of your talent. Em is one of those rappers that made me go "I wish I could do that". And it wasn't just the technical shyt, I loved how he went from just being able to rap pretty good to actually digging down into his pain and into his story and making something of it, something I wasn't really able to do.

I will fukk with anybody who has ever given me that feeling til the day I'm up outta here.

I'm from Jersey n used to see Em when I was a lil kid hanging around tagging on Park Ave in Newark he's been good w me hip hop wise, dope mc, dope production(prime), ehhh content but his wittiness made up for it imo . Tossing the Outsidaz to the bushes tho Hearing him shout them out in the 1st album had me like because I thought he was gonna put those nikkas on.

I think it was more so a choice between them and Proof (and the group he was apart of) once he got on. Pace supposedly got taken off Ammityvile because he got mad when Dre (I'm assuming) asked him to change his verse.

He was on point during the years posted. Above average. He wasn't the nicest to ever do it, he could be touched. It would have been better for him had he not had such a huge machine behind him. His music would have been purer. Still pissed off that he didn't battle Canibus.

I was just about to turn 21 when "My name is"... dropped.... he was dope on the mic. His actual albums were never what you would play around other ppl tho..especially compared to what was dropping at the time

I was a big fan, he was killing everything back then. He was way too over rated by people who didn't fukk with hip hop which has been a crux his whole career.

Went OT on the corny shyt more and more as he went on, but when he was in the zone he was a beast.

I find it hard to revisit most of his music from back then and he's just a shadow and a parody of his former self now.
