Word!

XII is underrated I wish more people would've gave it a shot. Balthier is that nikka :salute:
XII falls apart after about halfway through the game...the story gets too convoluted, and the voice acting is hard to understand at times, making it even more difficult to follow the convoluted story. Then add that there's also a huge difficulty spike halfway through the game and you end up having to level grind to beat those fukking wolf things in the cave leading to the bunny chick's hometown...or just avoid them altogether. And some of the levels are unnecessarily long...like the desert level...or the beach level--the fukk am I spending over an hour to walk between two towns for???

I only finished that game cuz I'm a completionist.

Also, wtf@the best weapons coming in random chests that may not even spawn during a particular playthrough??? I mean Final Fantasy X made them a pain to get, but at least you can get them all in every play through...can't do that in XII though.

Balthier IS that nikka though.

Nah he's wrong and both ya'll opinions suck. FFX was the first to get a huge graphics update and new battle system. Anima summon>>>>>>>*

LOL at meh characters....Auron, Lulu, Kimahri were all dope. The ending:wow: not to mention one of the greatest songs in FF history

Final Fantasy X had the best plot twist I think I've experienced in any game I've ever played. I was legit taken aback and didn't expect it.

shyt the whole FF series is known for having good plot twists...usually it's a backstabbing, but Final Fantasy X was different and legit had a nikka like :ohhh:

Imagine how Yuna felt nikka...like, she was SOOO in love with that dude man.

No wonder she said "fukk nikkas" and started singing pop songs in FFX-2...Tidus ruined her for all other men.

Gotta go with Final Fantasy X and it's probably my second favorite game of all time. FFX was also my first FF. This one had voice acting which is what made me say alright I can fukk this FF because I was not feeling all that reading you would have to do in the previous games. The story and characters just ended up being and great and I was so glad that I picked it up.

Yuna whistling at the end had me like :to:

And people try to shyt on FFX-2, but I loved it. The gameplay was fun as fukk and I didn't mind Yuna running around and them little as shorts. :takedat:

My nicca you're fuccing high :childplease:

Aeris dying is regarded as a top 10 plot twist in gaming history.

7 is the best. It even has the main character become a cripple for a while. Cloud's story is so fucced up. He just wanted to be someone :to:. Actually, 7's story is oddly dark and twisted for game when you analyse it.

From 10 onwards the stories regressed to teen angst twilight level bollocks. 10 and 13 are so ass I stopped playing 10 early. Even as a 14 yr old I knew that the story was sh1t.

The only people who say 10 is goat are those who had it as their first FF game, and for that I can't take their opinion seriously.

:camby:Any of the PS1 FFs>>>>>>>

Yeah the graphics got updated, they have with every Final Fantasy release since the SNES. Obviously more so with this one being the first Ps2 FF, but all the everything looked kinda generic to me, boring environments that looked like they were outta some made for TV version of Avatar :yeshrug:

New battle system? Didn't they make a few small changes, like the way the ATB gauge worked? The battle system itself was still basically the same; turn based, each character acting as one of the basic FF job types, same spells as usual etc. FF12 was much more of a change in the traditional battle system than FFX.

And summons have been in the series since FF3. They were alot better executed in some of the other games, too (6,7,8).

And again, that 'Cloister of trials' bullshyt :rudy:

LOL Aeris dying wasn't even the first time a character died forever in a FF game. Truthfully, I was like "damn...I didn't even get to learn all of her limit breaks" but I wasn't too shocked or anything.

nikkas die everyday, B.

Excellent analysis :comeon:

You realize that what you just said is pretty much the exact opinion that people have of gamers who say FF7 is their favorite.

Balthier IS that nikka though.

So wanted a spin-off with how he came up from the Archadies...met Fran and what not...dude was on 100-thousand-trillion at all times. He truthfully shoulda been the main either him or Bacsh. Vaan and Penelo were useless. Another interesting thing was that each persons "native" weapon actually had the longest delay (i.e. Fran took longer to shoot bows than say Ashe). My Main squad was Bacsh with the katana and genji, Fran with Zodiac and buffs, and Ashe with the guns and healing. After i set that team i rarely died ever

totally agreed though, anyone who can say 7 or 10 is the best NEVER played 6. 6 is BY FAR the best from every critic and RPG fan out. Best Villain by far that actually does what he sets out to do and you WATCH him do it, best ensemble that you REALLY felt for (Locke, the Relm/Shadow thing, Celes, the Fatima brothers, Cyan :wow:) Great Gameplay and hella memorable moments, really to many to count.

Only baddie close to Kefka in level of achievement of goals is Krelian from Xenogears

Final Fantasy 9.
It had a likable main character (unlike the other more modern ones 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 which all had douches or weirdos)
It had a decent plot
It paid homage to the old and acknowledged the new directions of the series
it was lighthearted and fun and didn't take itself too seriously
It had a well balanced cast of solid characters
It had the best romance in the series
It had one of the best endings if not the best in the series.

It had Melodies of Life

or the more elaborate over-sung remake

Final Fantasy 6 hands Down

GOAT cast of characters
GOAT plot
GOAT battle/magic system

i just beat it recently for the first time ever on my android on a emulator. i was like :to: as a kid i only got up to kefkas tower but that shyt was too hard for me
Never finished this game. I didn't like the cast it was way too big with far too many unnecessary people in it. If I remember correctly the game harshly punished you for not using specific characters like I damn near never used Celes and dropped Sabin as soon as I could then like halfway through the game they were my forced party and I had to go back and track my other characters down. The whole World of Ruin killed the game to me. disrupted the flow of everything and when Terra refused to join that was the last straw I wasn't willing to do whatever it took to get her back and quit playing.
7 is my personal favorite.
this one was a trainwreck. hated the main character and most of the cast. one of the only likable characters was killed off. the plot was a clusterfukk seemed like multiple people wrote different parts of it and they stitched it all together in one great big mess. needlessly complex and full of contrived melodrama the positives were the Materia system was great. so was the optional content.

the most unforgivable thing about this one is it literally has no ending. the main conflict is resolved and the game just stops. if you want any insight as to what happened to the cast you have to watch a unplanned movie they made almost a decade later.

mind you I missed the hype train on this one cause I played it after I played 8. so I wasn't impressed with what was once cutting edge.
Final fantasy 8 that boy squall and the military college setting was goat.
The main weaknesses of this one are the weird plot twist, the lack of a proper present villain and the broken battle system. honestly though the pluses of it outweigh the minuses and it actually does have the best ending of any game in the series (during the credits I mean how it shows everyone in your group and acknowledges them)

Not too many complaints about 8. The first disc was excellent. Probably the best part of the game. The part where they go to space was a lil hamfisted but I liked it. solid cast of mostly likable characters. the one major issue I had was the game never flat out tells you Laguna is Squall's father. I was younger when I played it and never picked up on the hints.
