they were dope as fukk :mjcry: kids these days lost havin to play their games alone in a dark room with a headset on talking to some weirdos from the other side of the world

when I lived in thousand palms we used to hit up the mall in Palm Springs or cathedral city or Indio some shyt damn near every week and I would just wait til the end after we went to all the spots so I could get all the extra money and run to the arcade with it :wow:

lookin bike on it shyt was wild unsafe, I would post up in there for hours unsupervised with a bunch of teens and grown ass creeps and I'm like 7 :mjlol: I'm sure lil kids was gettin abducted all the time back in the 90s

but arcades is how I fell in love with fighting games like street fighter and tekken :obama: I was low key a beast in tekken I coulda been a pro player if I kept at it after tekken 4

but I played all kinds of classic piff there tho

They used to be dark and a bit seedy sometimes but if you were a beast, you could walk in there with just $3.00, spend two on a drink and a hot pretzel and go all day with just 4 quarters clearing nikkas out on VF, Tekken, KI, MK or SF.

I remember I used to go the arcade that was always packed and got hip to MvC. By the time MvC2 came out, I was a monster. I would come in with one token and be at that machine for hours if there were enough people lining up to play. That feeling of walking into an arcade and watching two people play with a dozen people huddling around and then they notice you placing your quarter on the rim then hearing everyone else whisper to eachother "OMG this dude is so good.", "Watch this guy beat everybody over here." etc...To a kid at that age, shyt was so...

i wish i lived during the golden era of arcades. by the time i got into them, they were on the way out, you had NES and SMS. but, when i go to big cities, i still seek out arcades.

i used to go to dave and busters.

Was chill. A lot of dudes in like their 30s playing video games.

After 10 used to get kinda scary cuz a lot of those rocker drug addict looking dudes would show up to pregame i guess.

I would just play that fast and furious game all day.

Used to go just for the pinball machines. I sucked at video games back then.

Arcades were ratchet as fukk. Hella illegal shyt went down in them. I used to go to the old arcade that used be in the back of the food court at Greenbriar Mall in SW Atlanta. Wasn't too much video game playing, just nikkas catching plays and broads selling p*ssy. Somebody got murked in that one and they had to close it down
