What would a potential 5/6 rings do for Durant's & Curry's legacy?

If Durant is outplaying LeBron every game then, nah

People who know the game already had Durant ranked as the goat PURE small forward well before this

The media is going to say he had a safety net playing with 3 other all stars...Why couldnt he perform at this level with his own team.
It dont matter how many titles or MVPs he wins, his legacy as viewed by the media and players is going to have an asterisk.

I'd prefer people have perspective about these kinda things. Durant and Curry on their own are amazing talents and are probably Top 25 players of all time. But them stacking talent on the same team shouldn't elevate them that far. Just like Barkley not having any rings shouldn't diminish how he great of a player he was.

Durant will be viewed as probably the best player on the greatest team ever assembled, so no, he's not going to get an asterisk.
Greatest player to join an already championship team in its prime with back to back MVP that won 73 games and up 3-1 on healthy Cavs last season.

If you gonna overlook all factors, might as well just call him top 2 ever.

Makes Durant greater imo. He joined a team that won 73 games and looks easily the best player on the team. You can really tell a player is great when he rises above other great players.
what dumb logic is this

Them having 2 GOAT shooters who are also playmakers opens up the lanes for Durant making it very easy for him to score

True, but it doesn't diminish the fact that Bron went and formed a stacked team. The semantics are different, but it's still the same process overall. KD took it a step further.
And the lakers already had stacked teams due to good management by the late Dr Buss

LeBron proved all that asterisk shyt wrong... Winning cures everything...They run off five or six chips and they're both at the very top tier of whatever rankings of players in history you want to make

Lebron winning in Cleveland cured everything. If he stayed winning in Miami, he would get shyt on 100x worst.

Durant is already a top talent of all time. With rings I honestly don't see how he doesn't end up becoming a top 5 player ever. Kobe is considered top 10 and KD is definitely better than him IMO.

May the second half of his career be healthy and successful :salute:
