What would another FINALS loss do to LeBron James legacy?

this is a terrible analogy as usual with you kobe stans. It's an insult to Brady to compare him to Kobe, he is more Timmy than anyone else. Peyton's stats drop in the postseason compared to regular season whereas LeBron is a top 10 player ALL-TIME in every round of the playoffs (statistically speaking)

Kobe = Big Ben/Favre, deal with it
No, because you're still stuck on a stupid-ass means of evaluating players.

Jerry West was on a fantastic Lakers team, but unfortunate enough to have to play against an even greater Celtic team.

Magic chose to join up with the guy who would be the current NBA MVP, someone who had already won multiple rings, was in his prime, and would go down as one of the greatest players of all time. (And yes, he did choose - he publicly said that if Chicago had gotten the #1 pick, he would have stayed in school another year.)

Getting to the Finals and getting a ring has a lot to do with how good your coach is, how good the other players are, and how good the competition is. Different eras, different teams, different situations.

But you know what's undeniable? For any one player, in any particular year, it's better to win in the 2nd round than to lose in the 2nd round. It's better to win in the conference finals than to lose in the conference finals. And if your basis of evaluating a player goes against that in any way, you're an idiot.
Well, at least we all now know that Kareem>>>Jordan.

I've always said it.:sas2:

Bubububut Jordan was 6/6 in the NBA Finals! He won 100% of his Finals appearances.

Kareem was only 6/10! He only won 60%!

By the Kobestan RINGZ!1!! argument, isn't a 100% Finals record better than a 60% record?

(To make my position clear, making the Finals 10 times is obviously better than making the Finals only 6 times, but basketball is a team game and every season is different so neither one's historical legacy can be boiled down to something as simple as "Kareem was in more Finals".)

I'm inclined to agree. He's the all time leading scorer, the all time record holder for MVP awards with 6, he played in the finals half of a 20 year career, co-captained the showtime lakers alongside Magic Johnson, retired the all time leading shot blocker even though the first 4 seasons of his career blocks and steals weren't tracked, was a 19 time all star, was making all NBA first team at 39, and then there's the skyhook. That's an otherworldly résumé.

Kobe still the best since Jordan:umad:you retarded Kobe haters need to get over it.

This isn't really an argument than Kobe can win. Duncan has more success and acheivements while Lebron is more statistically impressive and dominant.

Pick your poison.

Duncan got the same amount of rings, more MVPs, more playoff success, and more FMVPs while still playing at a high levels.

Lebron has more individual accolades, better regular season and playoff stats, the same amount of FMVPs, and less overall team success.

:mjlol:You still on my dikk nikka? Sayin either of them is better than Kobe is a struggle argument. Duncan hasn't even been the best player on his team since his 3rd ring Parker and now Leonard been better than him these last two championship years he the third best on that team and STILL can't repeat, Kobe always been arguably the best or at least second best on his team for each of his 5 rings that all came back to back and if LeBron didn't go to Wade's team wit Bosh he'd still be ringless no unbiased person views him as on Kobe's level after only 2 rings wit Wade and Bosh.:camby:
