We should try these policies at the state level first... If I remember correctly California has a larger and richer economy by itself than nearly all the countries currently implementing these types of policies.
Let’s remove the barriers, and let progressive states go at it alone.
I know social dynamics are not considered when pushing the progressive agenda but I must mention America is unique in this area and faces challenges socially no one else faces making side by side comparisons dubious.

Went to Toronto recently and just hitting the streets, people are a lot happier, you can see it on the streets....even with all of the issues they have.
