I'd do what my parents did and tell 'em no dating/sex until they are out of the house or 18. no matter what their orientation, kids don't need to be having sex at all.

I'd also explain to them that tv/movies/etc are not reality and they shouldn't use that as a model. again, the same advice any kid should get.

it absolutely wouldn't bother me at all to have a gay kid. now if i had 2 gay kids, i'd start thinking that god was trying to kill off my bloodline. even though i don't really believe in that kind of god. lol.
